Many schools closed as cold snap continues

The deep freeze is continuing across the country this morning, spelling havoc for motorists.
Gardai in Donegal are advising motorists not to take to the roads unless absolutely necessary, and many schools have been closed across the county.
Meanwhile, City of Derry Airport was closed for a time this morning, with hopes that the airport will be declared open shortly (10am).
Passengers are being asked to check in as normal.
