Siptu is playing down talk of a major job loss announcement from Letterkenny based company Medisize.
Late last year the company said it was seeking to cut its payroll – with reports up to 25 jobs losses being sought.
The company sid a restructuring programme will be necessary to improve competitiveness and help secure the future business at the Letterkenny plant. Since then the company has been engaging with unions.
Martin O’Rourke of Siptu says those talks are ongoing and that voluntary redundancy and work sharing options are still being looked at:
