Compensation of 5.17 million euro was awarded to personal injury claimants in Donegal last year.
According to preliminary year-end data from InjuriesBoard.ie. this a drop from the 2008 figure of 6.12 million euro.
In total 223 awards were made by the board to claimants in Donegal last year a drop of 5 on the previous year.
On a national level €200million was awarded in respect of 8,645 personal injury claimants.
