Strabane Council increases district rate

Strabane District Council has voted to increase its district rate by 4.35%.
In real terms this means that householders paying rates on a house valued at £100,000 can expect to pay an additional £14.62 on next year’s rates bill.
Deciding its budget the council decided to dedicating half a million pounds to capital development in the 2010/11 financial year.
