There may be a glimmer of hope for the future of Lifford Hospital following the issuing of a memo yesterday by a senior HSE official in Donegal.
John Hayes, Head of Acute Services has issued a memo deferring the consultation on the future of the Hospital pending exploration of potential cross border options and a report on the cost of care.
That report is due to be published in September.
Lifford Cllr Gerry Crawford says while this offers no guarantees and is far from a final solution, it is encouraging……………
