With the Cat.4. season coming to a close shortly, it was the ever-consistant John Bradley [26] returning 24pts played over 11 holes who won last week.. In runner-up spot was one of the most improved Cat.4.
players of the season, Victor Byrne [24] with 23pts.
Tuesday 6th saw the club Juveniles playing for Lady Captain Sandra Mc
Monagle’s  Lady Captain’s Prize and taking top honour was Cian Harkin [19] returning a fantastic 43pts.  runner-up, was Tom Doherty [20] 42pts, In third place, relegated by BOT, was Evan Mc Grory [23] with
42pts also.
All Juniors are reminded that outstanding prizes will be presented at the club on Sunday 25th August at 7pm. There will be food and refreshments served and all juniors, whether prizewinners or not, are asked to attend.
Wed. 7th Open  was won by John Doran Jnr. [11] The in-form John Jnr. recorded a terrific two over gross 74, which included birdies at 4th, 13th and 18th,  and an overall winning score of 45pts.
In runner-up spot was Ciaran Wiliamson [13] with 41pts  to pip third placed Paddy Mc Gowan [12] by just one point.
Friday 9th had the Barnhill club host the prestigious GUI Jimmy Bruen Cup final between two Northern golf clubs of Tandragee and Coalisland. Congratulations to the winners—Tandragee.
Sunday 11th  club confined strokeplay competition and the winner was cat.4. handicapper Conor Dunleavy [26] returning a 62 nett. In second and third places were juvenile golfers Matthew Curley [12] and Odhran Davis [16]  both players returning 68 nett.
Club President Mr. Barry Ramsay would like to take this opportunity in inviting all members to play for his President’s Prize on Saturday 17th August, and the Captain, Lady Captain and all club members would like to wish Barry an enjoyable and exciting Presidents Day.
Team News: Congratulations to the Joe Coyle led Junior Cup team who, having led 7-0 from the first leg semi-final at home, eased into the final when defeating North-West Golf Club at the Lisfannon venue on Sunday.
