Semi Final defeat for LYIT Gaa Men

The LYIT bowed out of the Senior Colleges GAA Division 2 League this afternoon.
The Letterkenny students lost to Athlone IT 1-12 to 1-9 in the semi final in Sligo.
The LYIT who were 6 points down at the break, 1-9 to 1-3 had the better of the scores in the latter half  but the gap proved too much to haul back.
Darragh Mc Daid, Darragh Gallagher and Brian Howley all had good games today.
Athlone will now play NUI galway in the Final.
