President Micheal D. Higgins has today signed the Water Services Bill into law.
In a statement from Aras an Uachtarain this afternoon, the President says he has given careful consideration to all aspects of the Bill, and the submissions he received.
It follows a letter sent to President Higgins last week, calling for him NOT to sign the Bill into law, after it had passed a vote in the Dail and the Seanad.
