Slight improvement in overcrowding crisis at Letterkenny General

Letterkenny General Emergency DepartmentThere has been a slight fall in the number of people waiting for a bed at Letterkenny General Hospital.
According to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Association 25 people are either on trolleys or in wards at the hospital.
That figure compares to 27 yesterday.
The Minister for Health has appealed to senior doctors in the health service to do extra work, as a way of tackling the crisis in emergency departments.
Minister Leo Varadkar’s called on HSE staff to put in additional hours to help reduce the pressure:
