Viable pipe bomb found in Strabane

Police are appealing for information after a pipe bomb was been found during a security alert in Strabane.
It was discovered in the back garden of a house at Innisfree Gardens last evening. Army bomb experts examined the device and it has been taken for tests. The area was evacuated for a time, but the arera was declared clear just before half past seven last night.
Police have asked anyone with information about the incident to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.
