Searches for the missing Derry man John Concannon are to continue.
Last night police visited the Lenamore Road area outside Derry, where the last confirmed sighting of the 71-year-old pensioner was noted.
He is believed to have travelled by bus to the area.
Vehicles were stopped to ascertain whether anyone who had been the road the previous Tuesday had noticed Mr Concannon.
Yesterday, an underwater search team checked waterways in the area, while the PSNI Search & Rescue Team scoured open ground.
Searches were also carried out by Gardaí in Co Donegal, assisted by a Community Search Team and a Coastguard helicopter.
Detectives say their enquiries are continuing. At present their focus is on the Lenamore Road area.
They are appealing to anyone who lives in the area to check on any outlying sheds or farm buildings.
Also, they would like anyone who has CCTV outside their homes or businesses to check any recordings.
Anyone who can assist the search enquiries is asked to contact their local PSNI or An Garda Siochana station.
