A Donegal Councillor is meeting with the owners of the Abbey Village complex in Kilmacrennan to discuss the impact of recent flooding and long term strategies to avoid a repeat.
Councillor Michael Mc Bride says on Sunday week last, the river Lennon had overflowed, with flood waters surronding many houses, as well as the block that is home to many people with intellectual disabilities.
Cllr Mc Bride is to meet with the Oaklee Housing Trust which owns and manages the development.
He says he’ll be highlighting the potential dangers faced by residents, and also possible long term solutions to the flooding problem in Kilmacrennan…….
