It’s been claimed the issue of the future of the Ramelton Nursing Unit, Lifford Hospital and St Joseph’s Community Hospital is being used as a political football.
Yesterday, Junior Health Minister Kathleen Lynch declined to meet with hospital campaigners in Donegal to discuss the downgrading of the hospitals in question due to a hectic schedule.
A united rally takes place this Saturday in Stranorlar in protest of the possible closure of the hospitals but concern has been raised now that it has become over politicised.
Father John Joe Duffy from the newly formed “Save our Services” committee is not convinced the decision lies with the HSE………..
