The Central Competitions Controls Committee have given Neil McGee a one game ban and hit both counties with fines for incidents which took place during last Sunday’s heated battle in Tralee.
Tv footage showed the Gweedore man pulling on the fingers of Alan Fitzgerald which lead to the Kerry forward being sent off for striking.
The CCCC met on Monday evening to review the footage and found McGee guilty of a category 3 charge, which means he’ll miss Sunday’s game against Roscommon in Letterkenny.
Both county boards have also fined €7,500.
It’s understood Donegal are considering appealing both sanctions and Kerry will appeal their punishment.
