CONFIRMED: Dermot O’Leary has returned to the X Factor

Dermot O’Leary is set to return to host the X Factor, after leaving last year.
In a shock announcement, producers of the show revealed the British-Irish TV host would be returning for the new season.
“I’m very flattered to be asked back to The X Factor, and am currently dusting off my dancing shoes,” Dermot said in a statement.
“There is nothing more exciting than hosting live TV on a Saturday night.
“The show is naturally very close to my heart, after having hosted it for 8 years. I’m really looking forward to it, and excited to be back,” he added.
And show boss Simon Cowell was equally excited about the news: “Dermot’s back! Hooray! And so is his dancing! Welcome home Dermot,” he said.
Dermot had been replaced by Caroline Flack and Olly Murs.
