Monaghan manager Malachy O’Rourke was delighted after beating Donegal to stay in Division One.
He said the 1-10 (13) to 1-09 (12) victory after early on being down 1-04 to 0-00 was a great result for his charges.
He said they knew that they had to win to guarantee their status in the top flight because they could not count on results elsewhere.
