Gardai in Donegal have repeated their warning to elderly people not to engage with travelling tradespeople they don’t know, particularly when services such as driveway maintenance or power washing are being offered.
The warning is part of Operation Thor, a cross border initiative over the month of April looking at crime prevention in rural areas.
Donegal Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Paul Wallace says the coming weeks will see a focus on metal and machinery theft and burglary, but this week, the focus is on potential bogus callers………
