Penalty hero Conrad Logan revealed on Highland Radio that he only knew half an hour before the Scottish Cup Final that he was playing.
Conrad (29), from Ramelton, saved the first two penalties for Hibernian against Dundee United in the semi-final at Scotland’s famous Hampden Park.
He joined Hibs because their regular goalie is suspended, but he told Sunday Sport he could not have dreamed of making such a high profile comeback from serious injury when he got crocked 16 months ago.
The Man of the Match told presenter Myles Gallagher that he was on a high this morning and said he has to enjoy the highs in football because there are plenty of lows.
He said it was great to play at Scotland’s national stadium and was only told 30 minutes before kick-off that he was going to be No1 for the major match.
He revealed he now hopes to be the man in goal again when Hibs face Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final…
