There are calls for funding to be made available immediately to make safe a stretch of the N56 between the junctions of Doon Well and Letterfad.
There have been a number of collisions on the stretch between Kilmacrennan and Termon, one of which was fatal.
Councillor John O’Donnell says the TII must make the money available to remove the large crest on the stretch which is creating a blind spot.
He says local people are growing impatient with the lack of progress:
