A Donegal member of the Garda Representative Association says rural Garda Stations are vital despite an Assistant Garda Commissioner stating otherwise.
Yesterday, Assistamt Commissioner Michael O’Sullivan defended the closure of some stations, saying in some cases they don’t provide the best coverage despite them being a comfort for the public.
The GRA’s representative for Donegal Garda Brendan O’Connor strongly disagrees with the Assistant Commissioners comments.
He says rural Garda Stations play an integral role in enhancing the policing service……………
