Finn Valley AC high jumper Sommer Lecky has narrowly missed out on a medal at the European Youth Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Sommer did fantastically well to get in contention for a medal but she was up against two “very good” British jumpers and needed to clear 180cm if she was to win a medal.
Highland Radio’s athletics correspondent Patsy McGonagle revealed to Sunday Sport presenter Myles Gallagher that Sommer had an off day.
He said she cleared 175cm but was unable to reach the heights of 180cm.
