Shay Given has announced his international retirement.
Ireland’s most-capped goalkeeper has confirmed that he’s retiring from national duty in order to focus on continuing his club career with Stoke City.
The 40-year-old Lifford man traveled with the squad to Euro2016 but was an unused sub in France.
Given won 134 caps during an iconic 20-year senior career after making his debut as a 19-year-old in March 1996.
