Ballyliffen joy for Alex Gleeson

Alex Gleeson has won the 2016 Irish Amateur Close Championship title in Ballyliffen.
In this afternoons match-play final he beat the silver medal stroke play winner from earlier in the week John Ross Galbrath 2&1.
It was a second successive appearance in the final for Gleeson and the result makes up for the disappointment of losing out to Tiarnan McLarnon at Tramore last year.
