Jackie Reilly talks Donegal’s first Ulster Minor Championship title

Highland-Radio-SportJackie Reilly played at centre half forward in Donegal’s three games – against Derry, Down and Armagh – run to the county’s first Ulster Minor Championship title, in 1956.
However, the former Erin’s Hope, Sean MacCumhaills, Tir Chonaill Gaels and St Eunan’s star forward was one of two players that were dropped for the All-Ireland semi- final meeting against Leitrim.
The late Hugh Strain was the other player who featured right through the Ulster campaign.
Donegal lost the semi-final on a 1-9 to 2-1.
Jackie Reilly, has been telling Tom Comack why he was left at home for the semi-final meeting with Leitrim, in Markievicz Park, in Sligo.
