Deputy Pat The Cope Gallagher says there are currently no plans to develop an Oyster Farm on the strand at Cruit Island.
A public meeting is taking place tonight in the Viking House tonight (Thursday)at 8pm to discuss the proposed development of a 12.5 Hectare Oyster Farm on the Strand.
However, Deputy Gallagher maintains there are no such plans in place as of yet while a consultation period is ongoing.
He says that he does support locals in opposing the development of an Oyster farm in the area:
