Gardai in Letterkenny launch investigation following a number of car fires in Rosemount lane

 
Gardai in Letterkenny have launched an investigation after a significant number of cars were burnt out last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Rosemount lane just before 2am this morning and the fires were brought under control at approximately 4am.
It’s understood up to nine cars were badly damaged during the incident.
No injuries have been reported.
The scene remains sealed off and the road is closed this morning as a technical examination is due to take place later today.
Gardai say they are following all lines of inquiry at this stage and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
