A Glencar family have made legal history in Britain having taken successful legal proceedings against a newsagent after being told to leave the premises due to the presence of an autistic Service Dog.
Katy Tyrrell McCafferty was on holiday in London in April 2015 with her two sons, who both suffer from forms of autism, when the incident occurred.
They were told to leave an East End newsagents due to her son Jimmy’s Service Dog, Kizzy accompanying the family.
Jimmy won his case in London on Thursday and was awarded damages of £6600 and legal costs.
