This week TV3 will introduce us to newcomers and best pals, John and Dave. John hails from West Cork and Dave is from Blanchardstown, Dublin.
They’re such TV addicts that they pre-plan to watch their favourite shows together… so obviously they’re a natural fit for the show. John is the political head while Dave leans towards gritty documentaries, the darker the better for him.
John works in a post-production house and once appeared in the red chair on The Graham Norton Show, even managing to walk away unscathed. But that’s not his only claim to fame. He was once pulled up on stage in the O2 to dance alongside Britney Spears.

Graphic Designer Dave has no claim to fame, but he is the Creative Director of his company so that’s probably more than enough. A former lifeguard, we’re told he has since retired from the Baywatch lifestyle.
John’s ideal night in is watching Graham Norton while Dave’s is spent looking for a repeat of Requiem for a Dream to watch, followed by a Louis Theroux doc or something similar. They meet somewhere in the middle with ‘The Fall’. Both enjoy communicating with each other through Gillian Anderson gifs.

Last week we were introduced to another new family, with Martin and Rory.
This week’s episode will see the Gogglebox Ireland households comment on a range of shows such as last week’s Late Late Show, when Francis Brennan showed a ‘putting a duvet in a cover’ demo, Animal Babies, Living with Lucy, Sir Terry Wogan Remembered, Sky News, RTE News: All Ireland, 1000 Heartbeats and Find Me A Home.

It’s also rumoured that Marty Morrissey might be making a hat-trick appearance on the show… what will the Cabra girls say?
Tune in to Gogglebox Ireland tonight from 9.30pm on TV3.
