The overcrowding crisis at Letterkenny University Hospital has eased further today according to the latest figures from the INMO.
There were 14 people awaiting admission to the hospital this morning – 13 on trolleys in the Emergency Department with 1 waiting on a ward or overflow area.
However Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Sligo Regional Hospital Doctor Fergal Hickey says even one person waiting for a bed is still excessive:
