A number of new initiatives have been announced for the Rosemount area of Derry in a bid to tackle illegal dumping.
On the 7th December a special blue bin collection will take place, to reduce the dumping of excess household waste in mews lanes in the Rosemount area.
And in the New Year on 26th January, there will be a bulk lift of household goods.
Councillor Mickey Cooper has advised that all residents will be notified of items eligible for collection and collection times.
Councillor Cooper is also currently working with Derry City and Strabane District Council to fast track new powers which will allow council enforcement officers to mount more patrols in the area in the long-term …
