David McGowan made headlines and gained a huge following earlier this year when he brought a plane from Shannon to Sligo to use in his glamping site.
Now he’s joined forces with Mayo County Council to warn people to be on their guard when using the roads or else he might be the one to carry them home. 182 people have died on Irish roads so far this year – 35 more than last year.
Gardaí have revealed, meanwhile, that around 350 people have been arrested for drink driving so far this month a 25% increase. In Donegal, the figure has doubled according to the Donegal People’s Press.
David Mc Gowan is hoping his message will hit home………..
