A Letterkenny Municipal District Councillor says it’s important that a full assessment of all housing stock in the area is carried out to check for the presence of MICA.
Cllr Adrian Glackin was told that testing has not yet been carried out, but a standard protocol is being developed under which blocks will be checked.
Officials told members they would be seeking to recover the cost of any works carried out as a result.
