Specialist doctors in Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK can now prescribe cannabis-based medicine.
It follows a campaign by parents of children with serious conditions – like 12 year-old Billy Caldwell from Co. Tyrone who suffers with severe epilepsy.
His mum Charlotte triggered a change in the rules, after she was barred from using cannabis oil to control his seizures.
She says today’s reforms are great news.
