There are calls for the installation of an additional stretch of footpath on Carnmore Road in Dungloe.
The busy route into the town is currently only partially serviced by a footpath and work has been ongoing in the community to secure funding from the National Roads Authority to complete it.
On going health and safety concerns have also been raised by members of the community.
Local Councillor Micheal Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig has said the current situation is not acceptable in 2018:
