The closure of Burtonport Post Office is to proceed after an appeal to save it has been refused.
This is the latest in a number of confirmed closures for the county after appeals for Dunkineely, Culdaff, Gortahork and Dunfanaghy and were also refused.
Patrick Bonner a member of the Burtonport Post Office Committee says they have not accepted the refusal and will continue to fight to ensure the service is retained:
Meanwhile, a protest has been organised for Saturday in a bid to have An Post’s decsion to close the Bunbeg Post Office overturned.
