PSNI investigate paramilitary-style attack in Derry

PSNI in Derry are investigating after a paramilitary style shooting incident at a house in the Creggan area last night.
A man in his 30s was shot in his arms and legs and beaten with an iron bar during the attack at a house in Rinsmore drive.
Shortly before 9:10pm last night, it was reported that a man in his 30’s was shot a number of times at a house in the Rinsmore Drive area of Creggan.
The man received gunshot wounds to his arms, legs and to one of his hands in what police are describing as a paramilitary style attack. It is also believed the man was attacked with iron bars during the incident with injuries to his legs and arms.
The victim is being treated in hospital where his injuries are being described as potentially life changing.
It’s also reported that missiles were thrown at Police officers as they responded to the scene.
Investigations are continuing and the PSNI have asked anyone with information to come forward.
