Donegal TD slams Taoiseach over ‘inaction’ on ambulance strike

 

 
A Donegal Deputy has hit out at the Taoiseach over what he termed as ‘inaction’ in addressing concerns of ambulance personnel.
Hundreds walked off the job yesterday, in a strike over union recognition with almost 40% of Donegal’s paramedics and other ambulance personnel in the county also taking part.
The Psychiatric Nurses Association says further strikes are also likely unless the HSE resolve the issue.
Speaking in the Dail, Deputy Pearse Doherty says people in rural communities, are fearful that a vital service wouldn’t be available in an emergency situation.
He urged Leo Varadkar to step in:
