Donegal County Council is to review its policies in relation to housing repair and maintenance, particularly in relation to common areas and facilities in estates.
It’s on foot of a motion from Cllr Gerry Crawford, who told the council that there is an issue with the upkeep of roads, sewerage, and other services, and it can be difficult to determine which council department is responsible.
Officials have acknowledged that historically, the approach has been inconsistent, and the authority’s Strategic Policy Committees should look at how this is addressed.
Cllr Crawford says it’s a good start…………..
