Finn Harps Academy and Schools have announced a link up with the Donegal Youth Service. The Donegal Youth Service logo will be displayed on the new U13 National League away jersey.
The Donegal Youth Service is a countywide service with over 30 affiliated Clubs and projects that provide drop-in facilities, programmes and services to young people all over Donegal.
Speaking about the link up Gareth Gibson, Youth Information Manager said “The Donegal Youth Service is very proud to be associated with Finn Harps U13 National League squad and the wider Academy. The work carried out by Finn Harps is of top quality and we are more than happy to provide a support to the development of these players going forward. It is important to consider their off-pitch development as well as what happens on the pitch and we look forward to working in collaboration with the club to promote social skills and personal development skills for all concerned.”
Kevin McHugh, U13 Manager and Head of Academy, commented on the Donegal Youth Services potential impact, “Finn Harps Academy and Schools Programme are only to delighted to be associated with the Donegal Youth Service. The work they have being doing within Donegal to date has been immense.
If we can tap into some of their methods and it helps improve our Academy/Schools in terms of helping our players deal with all the pressures that come with games, training and more importantly their studies then it can only be a good thing.”
