Peter Casey has called for action to tackle abandoned houses across Donegal.
The European Parliamentary candidate says initiatives need to be developed by Central Government and the Council to take over the almost 12,000 vacant properties in the county.
He says what we have in Donegal and throughout rural Ireland is a crisis that needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency.
Mr Casey says the take over of such properties could make huge strides in tackling homelessness and the ever growing social housing waiting lists:
