Up to 17-thousand hospital staff around the country could be set to strike next month.
SIPTU has been balloting staff in health-service support grades in 36 hospitals.
The result of the vote will be revealed this morning.
Paul Bell, the union’s health division organiser, says early indications are in favour of a strike in June, and he explains the nature of the dispute:
