A Donegal councillor is questioning why Irish Water doesn’t appear to be subject to the same rules as other people in terms of disposing of asbestos pipes.
Cllr Michael Mc Bride says he understands that many water pipes which contain asbestos were left in the ground in the vicinity of Lough Salt after recent work.
He says that’s in stark contrast to the restrictions that other people face:
