It’s anticipated that the first sod of the Sliabh Liag Distillery will be turned later this year after planning permission was granted by Donegal County Council.
The new distillery complex, to be located in Ardara, is to include a visitor centre and associated offices, labs, bottling hall, bar tasting and shop areas together with staff facilities.
Once up and running, it’s estimated that up to 40 people will be employed there.
