Council to ask Government to review & increase housing grants

 

Donegal County Council is to ask the government to immediately review and increase housing grants.
Cllr Ciaran Brogan says there are many people in the county applying for funding under schemes for older and disabled people, with the €8,000 available under the grant for older people nowhere enough.
At a meeting of Letterkenny Municipal District, members agreed to write to the department to seek increases.
