It’s hoped that a new booklet being launched today will help protesters have more confidence when they are demonstrating.
The Irish Council For Civil Liberties are behind the manual that outlines protesters rights before, during and after a protest particularly in the case of an arrest.
Senior researcher and policy officer with the ICCL, Doireann Ansbro says the rights and responsibilities of Gardai are also covered in the booklet.
