It’s been announced that a new Regional Development Plan for the North-West is being developed by the Government, following the conclusion of the previous plan last year.
The development of a series of new Regional Development Plans has begun across the country, as well as in the North-West region, with the new plans expected to run until 2024, and deliver funding for Counties Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim.
The goals of the new Regional Development Plans is to identify growth opportunities, recognise vulnerabilities, and in response, strengthen the regional enterprise ecosystem to enable job creation across the 9 different regions, including the North-West.
The Government say that the new plan will capitalise on the success of the previous €9 million plan, and that collaboration between private and public organisations will play a key part in the development of the new regional plans.
The new Regional Enterprise Plan for the North-West is expected to be launched later this year.
