Gardaí say two sisters and a brother died tragically in Tallaght early this morning.
The incident happened shortly after midnight as officers were called to a house in the Rossfield Estate.
Gardaí have arrested a man in his 20s in connection with their deaths.
A boy and a girl, believed to be 8 year old twins, along with an 18 year old woman died this morning in what Gardai are calling a ‘violent incident’ .
The siblings were rushed to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
A 14 year-old boy was also brought to hospital, where he’s being treated for non life threatening injuries.
The children’s mother wasn’t injured at the scene but is also receiving medical treatment.
After being alerted of the incident at around half past midnight, a man in his early 20s was arrested at the scene after the Garda Armed Support Unit intervened.
All involved are believed to have been known to each other.
One of the upstairs windows of the house has been damaged, and a forensic investigation is ongoing.
