Catriona Jennings earned herself a gold medal at the first ever IAU 50Km European Championships in Spain on Saturday.
The Letterkenny AC athlete finished the race in a time of three hours, 19 minutes and 42 seconds to claim the European title.
Alison Lavander of Great Britian was in second in a time of three hours 21 minutes and 26 seconds with Dominika Stelmach of Poland in third.
