The Foreign Affairs Minister will seek clarity today on whether there will be elections in Northern Ireland before Christmas.
Simon Coveney is due to meet the Northern Secretary Chris Heaton-Harris in Belfast.
He confirmed his legal obligation to trigger fresh elections after the political parties again failed to form a power-sharing Government last week, however Mr. Heaton-Harris has failed to so far set a date.
