Donegal County Council’s Budget Meeting will reconvene this afternoon after it was adjourned this morning.
Members are being asked to approve expenditure of over €175 million next year, an increase of just over 8% on the 2020 figure.
On the income side almost €39 million will be raised through commercial rates and charges on new properties, with rates not increasing this year.
Just over €26 million will come from the Local Government Fund and Local Property Tax, while other grants will account for just over 55% of the council’s income.
Members have had a series of meetings with the Chief Executive and the Heaed of Finance, with Independent Councillor Nicholas Crossan saying he expects Budget 2023 to pass this afternoon……….
